Admissions

Admissions via Sheffield City Council

At Bents Green School we follow Sheffield City Councils school admissions policies and procedures.

For more information about this, as well as contact numbers for School Admissions, please see their admissions page.

We try to make sure that the process of moving schools to Bents Green is as pleasant as possible, therefore we have various booklets and leaflets to allow parents and students to begin familiarising themselves with Bents Green before their arrival. You can find this information below.

Admission to Bents Green Learning Community, Bents Green School, Westfield Satellite and Sheaf Training is currently allocated from Sheffield Children and Young People’s Service within the Local Authority Admission Policy and Procedures. All students have a statement of Special Educational Needs. All visits to the Bents Green School, Westfield Satellite and Sheaf Training Post 16 are by appointment, and contact details are provided within the prospectus.

Once allocated a place at Bents Green, a request for school transport is made through the allocated SEN Caseholder.

School Transport is provided through an assessment of need and the meeting of the criteria specified by Children and Young People’s Services. Bents Green Learning Community supports the learning needs of students on the autistic spectrum, the pathways below demonstrate the level of personalisation and type of learning environment required for successful life long learning within the Bents Green Learning Community.
