Qualifications, Exam and Assessment Information
At Bents Green School we offer a range of qualifications, selected to provide recognition of the hard work and progress our students make whilst at the school. The following information is applicable to students at our Ringinglow, Gleadless and Enterprise Works sites.

Tutor Teams are happy to talk to Parents/Carers about which qualifications their child is likely to take, and the work students are carrying out in preparation for assessment.

The Awarding Bodies we use are AQA, Pearson/Edexcel, WJEC EDUQAS and ASDAN. We are governed by and adhere to the General Regulations for Approved Centres set out by JCQ.
Exam Information 2025 - 26
Click here to view this academic year's GCSE timetable. Please note, all students taking external exams this year must also be available on Wednesday 24th June (all day) 2026, which acts as a national contingency day.
GCSE Results Day will take place at the Gleadless Site on Thursday 20th August 2026.
Exam Information Evening
Every March we invite all Y10, Y11 and Post-16 Parents/Carers to an Exams Information Evening. During the evening, the Headteacher provides useful information about the upcoming exam season, key dates, how assessments work and how families can support their child.

Certificates and Leavers Celebration Evening
Exam certificates are important documents as employers may request to see them as proof of qualification. Therefore, it is important that students collect their certificates and keep them safe.
Every November we host a Celebration Evening at our Gleadless site for the students who left Bents Green School the previous summer. During the evening, students will be presented with their certificates. Any students unable to attend the Celebration Evening may then collect their certificates from the school reception during normal school opening hours and during term-time.

At Bents Green School, we encourage our students to do well in their assessments and exams. Our Annual Exams Information Evening presentation gives details of how to support your child during these times.
